Artist Statement
Welcome to my fifth solo exhibition! “It is the function of art to carry us beyond speech to experience.” — Joseph Campbell Art has a unique power to eloquently convey emotions, stories, and truths via our senses in ways that transcend languages and even cultures. For this year’s exhibition, I prepared some new sculptures inspired by the breathtaking power and beauty of the ocean and its inhabitants, along with a collection of previous works. Thanks to your generosity and support from 10.19 Gallery&Lounge for my past four solo exhibitions, we were able to make small but significant donations to ChorokUsan for Children to help underprivileged children and young adults in Incheon. I hope to do the same with your support this year. Thank you for visiting – it means the world to me.
